1990, 13 Mar, the vote by the citizens of Cook passed to create the Cook Community Hospital District. The Hospital had been under the ownership of the City of Cook. This was causing a burden on the City’s bond rating being such a great liability. Also money could be raised through a levy on the rural taxpayers of the area for the needed hospital funds. The Airport needs to be funded the same way as it is too much for the City.
